Cheesy Apple Flatbread

Cheesy Apple Flatbread

If you’re looking for a quick and simple appetizer or snack, this delicious Plant-Based Apple “Cheese” Flatbread recipe will hit the spot! It’s great for entertaining guests or when you want something a little bit different as a mid-day snack. The combination of apples, plant-based cheese, and arugula gives it a nice balance of cheesy, sweet, and peppery flavors. Plus, did I already mention it’s quick?!

For this dish, I used one small green apple and a small red apple because I like the combination of tart and sweet flavors you get from using both. I like to use organic apples.

1 small green apple , cored and sliced
1/2 Jar  House Party Cheesy Sauce, Mild or Hot
1 small red apple , cored and sliced
1 tablespoon dairy-free butter , melted
2 tablespoons olive oil

 Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Time!

  • Preheat the oven according to the pizza crust package directions. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread House Party Cheesy Sauce over the top of the pizza crust. Layer the apple slices in concentric circles on top of the queso. Brush with the melted dairy-free butter. Bake according to the package directions or until the crust is browned, the cheesy sauce bubbly, and the apple slices are starting to brown.
  • While the flatbread is baking, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Add the arugula and toss to combine.
  • Top the hot flatbread with the arugula. Slice and serve.
